Do Virtual Sessions Work?

Yes! A solid practitioner will be able to "connect" to your nervous system and help you to create more resiliency. The connection is known as co-regulation.

What is a Somatic Mystic?

A somatic mystic is an embodied seeker of truth, unity, freedom, and wisdom. I chose this name to reflect my own personal journey through trauma and spiritual paths.

What is Trauma?

I prefer the definition of trauma of any negative life event in which we are helpless to respond. While not every event is traumatic, when we are without choices to respond, the overwhelming sense of helplessness can be traumatic.

What Makes SE Different?

Somatic Experiencing is different from traditional talk therapy in the sense that we work with the sensations in the body and the emotions "stuck" in your body. While traditional therapy is great, you cannot "think" or "talk" your way out of trauma.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Every client is different. You will feel a noticeable shift after your first session; meaning you will feel more resilient in your ability to be in your life. When first doing this work, I ask that my clients plan on two sessions a month to see lasting change.

What if I have C-PTSD?

If you have been clinically diagnosed with Chronic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, just know that Somatic Experiencing is a gentle modality to compliment your work with your current licensed therapist.

Do You Work with Plant Medicines?

If you have recently participated in plant medicine ceremonies, somatic experiencing is an excellent tool to help integrate the experience.

What Kind of Plant Medicine Experience Do You Have?

I have 11+ years experience helping clients safely integrate plant medicine ceremonies. In addition, I have personal and direct knowledge of the following plant medicines: ayahuasca, psilocybin, ketamine, MDMA, and cannabis.

Why is Integration So Important?

Connecting with plant medicine to heal trauma and PTSD is very powerful. However, the real work is in the integration of the insights and experiences received in ceremony. Integration has both subtle and not so subtle elements. Working with an experienced professional who is trauma trained allows you to safely and comfortably navigate the integration period.

How Can MDMA Assisted Therapy Help?

A guided MDMA session offers potential healing. It can create insights along with somatic awareness, creating a space to explore the unconscious and conscious trauma that keeps you from living your best life.

What Is MDMA?

MDMA falls under the category of entactogens/empathogens, as it has the capacity to heighten feelings of empathy, compassion, affection, intimacy, and emotional vulnerability. While not classified as a typical psychedelic, MDMA induces significant shifts in emotional and cognitive patterns.

What Does A Guided Session Look Like?

Every experience of MDMA is unique. MDMA is a prosocial molecule that lends itself to a very emergent process. However, each person will come to this journey with an intention, which is clarified in the intake session. The context of the session will be held by the intention of the individual or couple.
