About Me

Laughing Dianne Shelton

I’m Dianne Shelton — a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, teacher, and soul companion for those walking the path of trauma healing, transformation, and homecoming. I’ve guided hundreds of clients through the landscapes of nervous system repair, embodied resilience, and deep emotional integration. My work draws from Somatic Experiencing®, Polyvagal Theory, and attachment healing — filtered through the wisdom of a life lived in devotion to both the seen and unseen. Clients have described me as “a force to be reckoned with,” “a gangster,” and “the one who sees what others miss.” I bring a fierce tenderness, sacred humor, and a deeply attuned presence to everything I do.  As my beloved Sufi teacher once said:

“Dianne possesses an extraordinary ability to channel energy and higher consciousness, awakening others to their authentic nature and limitless potential. Her presence is a potent force of life and love.”

I’ve sat with master healers in the Amazon jungle. I’ve shared sacred space with Sufi mystics — where mystery, devotion, and presence revealed themselves in quiet, powerful ways. I’ve held space for transformation in quiet therapy rooms and digital sessions alike. And through it all, my mission has remained the same:

To help people release what no longer serves, reclaim their truth, and remember who they really are.

Professional Training & Education

I hold a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from St. Edward’s University, where I focused on organizational development, psychology, and business administration. My time there shaped more than my knowledge — it sharpened my critical reasoning, grounded my ethics, and refined the integrity I now bring to every aspect of my work.

Over the past two decades, I’ve continued learning through immersive, somatic-based training and sacred experience:

  • Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP)
216 in-person hours completed in 2013 with Maggie Kline and Kathy Kain

  • Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning Experience (DARe)
22 hours with Diane Poole Heller, Ph.D.

  • Trauma Through a Child’s Eyes
Early childhood trauma & somatic play (2018), with Maggie Kline and Isabell Correa

I’m not a licensed psychotherapist — and I don’t pretend to be. My work lives in a different (but complementary) realm: the somatic, the sacred, the soul.
